Tax Card on Mobile Device 2015
Current government tax card system is based on traditional web form, which is difficult to use on mobile devices with limited screen space.
Project goals were to enable mobile use and resolve general usability issues faced by users. Application was designed by using modern Web frameworks, usability and scalability as the driving factor.
Usability analysis was arranged as scenario-based formative test with test subjects from group of students and young professionals.
This project was established as a Capstone project by University of Turku, supported by Nortal Ltd. Finnish Tax administration provided calculation and statistical data. Application was implemented using Python programming language, with Django and Bootstrap frameworks.
Project results were presented to Finnish Tax Administration and they were given recommendations and suggestions based on the findings made during the project. Prototype of the application was also displayed at ICT showroom event.
