The goal

HeartInfo is a knowledge management tool for the leading nurses at the TYKS Heart Centre. The main goal of the project was to remove manual work related to keeping track of coming and going patients by utilising existing databases. There was a need for an application that can get the data from the databases and display it in a way that helps in the day-to-day decisions. The created web application responds to that need.

The result

Our team developed a React web application with a Node.js back end acting as a server providing dummy data. The web application has a front page summarising important department-related data, individual views for each department with the possibility to view individual rooms and the patients inside, and a reporting tool allowing the user to download data for further analysis.

The future

The application will be developed further by the client and eventually deployed to production. Even though the application was created for the TYKS Heart Centre, it could be used in other TYKS units as well with little customisation.
