Introduction

HSE tool is a web-based Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) metrics management system. The application is designed to be used by HSE coordinators on any device, including mobile, and is intended to streamline and digitize the tracking of safety performance across construction projects.

Goal

HSE reporting across projects and contractors was previously a manual, copy and paste process. Our goal was to create a system where HSE coordinators would have an easy to use mobile tool for day-to-day use in remote locations. It had to make submitting and reviewing safety metrics as fast, simple, and effortless as possible.

Results

The app provides HSE coordinators with a simple, mobile friendly tool for managing safety data across different projects. After logging in, users select a project and can immediately start inputting safety metrics or review historical incident data. Reports can be submitted per contractor, making it easy to track the safety performance of each party involved in a project. In addition, the collected data is visualized through Power BI reports, enabling deeper analysis and presentation-ready insights for management and stakeholders. The app removes the need for manual labour and ensures that all data is stored centrally and available for review at any time.
